Out of hundreds of entries, Emmaline made it into the group of 30 semi-finalists in the Soul City Cafe contest to open for Jewel on a leg of her summer tour.

Emmaline's song "Bessie" was chosen as a finalist for inclusion in the 2003 SIBL Project benefit CD. Contributors to past SIBL CDs include Bruce Springsteen, Suzanne Vega, Ray Manzarek, Tom Waits, Grace Slick and Aimee Mann.
